Volunteers are an important part of Chaikuni's work and help us do what we do. At times we look for specific tasks to be implemented by a volunteer and publish volunteer listings. We are also currently working to establish adequate conditions to implement a regular permaculture volunteer program.
In case there are no open volunteer positions listed below, we might still accept you as a volunteer, if we reckon that you can substantially contribute to Chaikuni's mission. If you would like to be considered as a volunteer, please email your CV and a cover letter to firstname.lastname@example.org, stating briefly which of our programs you would like to work in and what your skills are to contribute to Chaikuni's work. Please, be concise of your intentions and expectations by volunteering with us to facilitate our decision.
Note that volunteering and working in our headquarters in Iquitos (Loreto region, Northperuvian Amazon) means working with local communities and requires a good working level of Spanish. Also, our climate here in the Amazon is hot and humid; conditions that might not suit everyone.
While you freely chose to volunteer with us, working as a volunteer for Chaikuni also comes with responsibilities and duties. Volunteers are expected to adhere to our core values, commitments and rules. You must be self-motivated, flexible, creative, and willing to make a time commitment of at least 6 months.
Unfortunately, we don't have any open positions at the moment.
